Maybe Autism Is My Superpower

Beyond The Label was inspired by Ben Blanchet, an autistic, young adult musician, author, social media influencer and autism advocate.

When Ben was only 13 years old, he wrote the book "Maybe Autism Is My Superpower" in which he describes his abilites....what he refers to as "autism superpowers".   The journey from there lead him to a large social media following which allowed him and his family the honor of meeting and interacting with many other autistic individuals who have shared about their unique abilites as well.  Beyond The Label puts a name to the indivuduals labeled as autistic who are often dismissed, misunderstood or seen for what they can't do instead of what they can do.  These shirts are desiged to help bring an awareness to society to the high number of people on the autism spectrum and we hope it will serve as a reminder to to look beyond the autism label in order to notice the unique abilities and kind hearts these individuals have.
